Lena Castro (they/them) is an entertainment technician and designer based in Wichita, Kansas, with experience leading lighting management for productions ranging from university fine arts performances to live commercial events. They're skilled in collaborating with production teams to build visually engaging environments that elevate the audience experience, approaching every project with organization, equipment fluency, and clear communication from concept through execution.

They currently serve as Lighting Supervisor at Wichita State University, designing lighting setups and technical plans for university productions and educating student volunteers on lighting techniques and equipment use. Their experience also includes work as a Stagehand and Rigger with IATSE Local 190, a Rental Technician with Kent Audio Visual, a Stagehand and fly operator with Music Theatre Wichita on productions including Disney's Frozen, Gypsy, and Beautiful: A Carol King Musical, and a Scenic Carpenter at Wichita State University.

Lena is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Technical Theatre at Wichita State University, expected December 2027, and was named to the Dean's List in Spring 2025.
