L'art De Tais

L'art De Tais is Lena Castro's (they/them) own creative brand and business, based in Dallas, TX, running since March 2015. It's where their design instincts show up outside the theatre: wearable art, jewelry, and hair.

Lena hand-draws and paints original designs directly onto fabric and ready-made garments, translating illustration work like octopus and jellyfish motifs into one-of-a-kind wearable pieces.

The brand also includes handmade jewelry, including beaded bracelets designed and assembled by hand.

Braiding is part of the practice too, with beaded braided hairstyles that carry the same hands-on, detail-oriented approach Lena brings to hair design work in theatrical productions.
